Handling of Client Information

UT Aim Co., Ltd. and other UT Group companies (“the UT Group”) understand that we handle a vast amount of information concerning the Group’s business, outsourced work of manufacturing lines of client companies, business with client companies, and know-how for business execution, and that we owe responsibility to have a strict appropriate management system to protect information.

Based on the above recognition, the UT Group has established the Client Information Protection Policy and Handling of Client Information. In order to make them effective, all of our executives and employees shall always be aware of information protection and act accordingly. We shall observe not only the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and but also a stricter voluntary standard we have established.

The client confidential information means all the information disclosed by the client company as confidential to the UT Group executive or employee in executing operations. This includes manufacturing technology and knowhow, composition of manufacturing cost and cost of goods, client data and business record, production/sales plan, manuals, and all other information specified as confidential by the client, regardless of disclosure means or types of media.

Concerning handling of client confidential information, the UT Group discloses the following Client Information Protection Policy and Handling of Client Information and declares that the UT Group employees will thoroughly comply with them.

Client Information Protection Policy

  1. We shall fully recognize our mission and responsibility in being engaged in manufacturing of semiconductors, flat panel displays and other products and sincerely protect personal data and client information.
  2. We shall be conscious of being a corporate group that makes and implements a wide range of solution proposals to client manufacturers. We shall implement appropriate measures to maintain confidentiality of information asset, ensure their completeness, and protect this asset from external threat.
  3. We shall develop and implement measures to prevent illegal access, loss, destruction, alteration and/or leakage of client information in the possession of the UT Group.
  4. We shall observe all laws, ordinances and standards concerning client information.
  5. We shall educate our executives and employees to raise awareness about information security and ensure full information security literacy. We shall monitor our information protection measures, and continue review and improvement.
  6. We shall strive to prevent information security accidents. In the event such accident should occur, corrective measures shall be promptly implemented.

Handling of Client Information

  1. We shall maintain the acquired confidential information as confidential and will not provide the information to any third party, without the written prior consent of the client and except for cases permitted under the related laws or regulations. This obligation shall remain intact after the conclusion of the contract between the client and the UT Group and/or after resignation of the UT Group employee and the UT Group shall take necessary measures.
  2. We shall use client information, acquired to perform operation, only within the scope of the defined purpose of use. We shall not acquire more client information than necessary for performing the business.
    1) Not to enter into areas other than the designated one.
    2) Not to bring in unnecessary things in the workplace without permission.
    3) Not to bring out, copy, and/or duplicate materials, equipment, and other things which are in the possession of the client.
  3. We shall maintain the acquired confidential information as confidential and will not provide the information to any third party, without the written prior consent of the client and except for cases permitted under the related laws or regulations.
