She loves cooking and is good at making simmered mackerel with miso.

Introduction
Sayaka was determined to change her job from food service to manufacturing, joined UTHP(now UT Connect), and moved from Tokyo to Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture. One year after she switched to holding tools instead of kitchen utensils, why did she say with a happy smile that everything has changed?

I enjoy growing up. The job change has really brightened me up.

I enjoy growing up. The job change has really brightened me up.

I had only experience in food and beverage work, but I also like to make things by myself, so I moved to UTHP(now UT Connect) to try something different, and moved from Tokyo to Hitachi City, Ibaraki Prefecture. I chose the dispatch work as I wanted to experience various kinds of manufacturing.

It has just been a year since I was assigned to the assembly of a drum washer and dryer. I am enjoying to learn something new, more than anything. At first, I didn’t even know the the tools names and I had to ask a person to repeat the name again. I also got exhausted before I became used to the work. However, people in the workplace were very nice and taught me gently, and by now I have become entrusted with more tasks. I am in a team of three workers to do the assembly. We are in a good harmony and have become able to quickly and thoroughly assemble the target number of machines. People in the workplace and UTHP(now UT Connect) are very kind and encourage me to ask them if I have any problems. I can talk to people of various ages and affiliations, eat lunch together, and so on. I feel grateful to be able to work with peace of mind.

I would be glad to be of help to newcomers.

My workplace also has new people from other dispatch companies and I sometimes teach them. I’m also a mentor to consult with newcomers at UTHP(now UT Connect). Many newcomers get exhausted in the first month as they are not used to the work, and worry whether they can continue. As I felt the same way, I encourage them so that as they go through the day, they get gradually used to the work. I also try to listen to their troubles. Honestly, I don’t know if I am of help. All I can do is to listen and cheer them up. Still, I would be glad if I could help them become more comfortable with the work. My goal is to become an adult whom others can rely on.

In addition, I try to have good off-days as I think a happy personal life would be good for work, too. I get immersed in my favorite jigsaw puzzles, or enjoy cooking. Ibaraki Prefecture has a seacoast and I am glad that the fish are delicious. The place resembles somewhat to my native Tochigi Prefecture, and the calm atmosphere of Ibaraki fits me better than did Tokyo. I am still 24 years old. I will take up various challenges in my twenties.
